Scholarships and Prizes

The following awards are given to the students for excellence in academic, co-curricular activities, sports and all-rounder’s every year:-


1. Awards are given to the First, Second and Third Position holders of each section

2. Overall Toppers of all Classes.

3. Subject wise and Stream wise toppers of Class X & XII.

4. Major Amit Ahuja Memorial Trophy.

Major Amit Ahuja (7th Feb 1975 - 22 Apr 2001).
A student of Army Public School Ambala Cantt (Non Medical Stream) was commissioned in the Army in 1997. His love for the country and dedication towards his profession, saw him leading a Company of Troops against Pakistan in Gurez Sector at Indo - Pak border
His parents Mr & Mrs Yashpal Ahuja, to keep the memory of their son alive give Major Amit Ahuja Memorial running Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs 5000/- to the Science Stream Topper of Class XII each year.

5. Kanwardeep Memorial Trophy

Kanwardeep Oberoi (19th Sep 1985 - Oct 2003)
Kanwardeep Singh studied from Class I to XII in Army Public School Ambala Cantt.
An extremely intelligent and hardworking student who did his parents proud as he ranked throughout Ist or 2nd in his class. An academically brilliant brain was unfortunately housed in a physiologically weak body, as he was severely asthamatic. He lives amongst us even today and his pleasing personality and cheerful disposition does not fade away from our minds.
His parents Mr & Mrs Palvinder Singh Oberoi have instituted this Kanwardeep Memorial Trophy in his memory. This trophy is jointly presented annually to two students viz to Commerce Topper of Class XII and to the outstanding sports person, This carries a cash prize of Rs 2500/- to both the students.

6. Mrs Tanu Vohra Memorial Trophy.

Mrs Tanu Vohra has served in this school as Head mistress from 24 Jun 1991 to 31 Mar 1993. The teacher had left for her heavenly abode on 08 Jan 1994. 2nd Offr Puneet Vohra, son of Late Mrs Tanu Vohra introduced a Running Trophy in the memory of his mother to be awarded collectively to two students of Class V ie Academically best topper and All Round Best student with a cash award of Rs 2000/-. The amount is shared by the both students.

7. Abhinav Moudgil Memorial Trophy

Abhinav Moudgil (06th Sep 1986 - 30th Nov 2006)
Abhinav Moudgil, a multi faceted personality, a student of Army Public School Ambala Cantt passed Class X from APS Ambala Cantt in Mar 2001. He left his indelible mark in the school and set standards for others to follow.
His grand father (Nana ji) Mr PC Sharma has instituted this Abhinav Moudgil Memorial Trophy to be presented to the Topper of Class X along with a cash prize of Rs 1000/-. Mr PC Sharma, the grand father of Abhinav Moudgil has also donated books worth Rs 2000/- to our school library in the memory of his grand-son Abhinav Moudgil.
Co-Curricular Activities
Cock House Running Trophy
The school has four Houses. The Cock House Running Trophy is awarded to the House having outstanding performance in CCA, Sports and discipline. It represents the planning, execution, and excellence in various activities as well as team spirit of the Awarded House guided by their mentors. Cock House Trophy for the session 2010-11 was bagged by Shivaji House.
Gurbir Brar Memorial Trophy

8. Gurbir Brar (26th Oct 1984 - Feb 1999)

Major Amit Ahuja (7th Feb 1975 - 22 Apr 2001).
Gurbir a student of Army Public School Ambala Cantt was not only a child of high calibre, but was compounded with skills unlimited. She was a bright student, excellent athlete and an orator par excellence. Her oratory skills brought laurels to the school as she won prizes after prizes in debates and declamations at various levels, at a very young age. Her parents Col & Mrs GS Brar in the memory of their daughter instituted this trophy which is given annually to the Best Orator of the school which carries a cash award of Rs 1000/- also.

1. Best in Sports (Boy & Girl) are awarded prizes.
2. Best Athlete (Boy & Girl) are awarded prizes.

All Rounders

9. Jasveen Memorial Trophy

Major Amit Ahuja (7th Feb 1975 - 22 Apr 2001).
It is a running trophy awarded to the Best All Rounder Girl Student of Class X.
It compliments the achievements of a girl child, excelling in every field. It does stand testimony to holistic development of a girl child.
